Hillel at Mizzou

Keep an eye out for this new building being constructed! I was brought on by Mizzou's Hillel Director, Jeanne Snodgrass, to design their new space. Located at 1107 University Ave, this will become a multi-use building with a kosher deli, office space for lease, Hillel's space and apartments for lease above. One of the main importances for Hillel was to provide security for their office while still allowing for an open concept for their students and guest to feel welcome. I achieved this by applying a glass wall system that can be pushed open during the day and locked shut at night while still allowing views and natural lighting. The lounge space becomes multi-functional with the ability to have events, such as movie nights, while still providing a modern day study space with enough seating, tables and task lighting. For the students that need a little more privacy or are wanting to host a small meeting, I have provided two study rooms that can also serve as a coat room for large services held in the Sanctuary. Trittenbach Developers in Columbia, MO are to break ground on this project with the hopes of being completed in the summer of 2017.
