This competition was to see who could design the best home that met a family's needs as well as Net Zero standards. I designed an open concept first floor plan, which included the kitchen, dining, and living room. The second level incorporated the bedrooms, bathrooms, master suite, laundry room and green roof access. The entire home is constructed of sustainable materials, sourced within a 500 mile radius of Lincoln Nebraska. This design is aesthetically pleasing, comfortable and serves its homeowners by giving them a shelter that provides for itself.
